Hydrogen to reduce aviation’s climate impact

Aviation is known as one of the most climate harming modes of transport. Although many of us love to fly, dealing with aviation’s climate impact is a major concern globally. Last week, Airbus unveiled plans for the first commercial zero-emission aircraft with hydrogen-fuelled passenger planes and these aircraft could be in service by 2035. The challenge to scale up renewable energy and hydrogen for the sustainable future of the aviation industry can be tackled together with support from governments and industrial partners – if we work together, we can reduce aviation emissions for the long haul!
